Courses We Offer

Power Elevated Work Platform Training

 

 

This course focuses on providing the worker with both theory and practical job-site training on scissor and boom type elevating work platforms. In class instruction includes; the operators responsibilities under the Occupational Health and Safety Act, proper inspection,  daily maintenance procedures and circle check inspections, and safe operating industry best practices.

 

To receive a record of training, the worker must pass both a written examination,  as well as a practical evaluation. The theory component is approximately 6.5 hours, and the practical component is typically 4 hours per student depending on competency.

 

All participants must possess a valid Working at Heights proof of training.   

All-Terrain Forklift (Telehandler)

This course focuses on the operators responsibilities as defined by the Occupational Health and Safety Act. This course provides the worker with training on forklift hazards, load calculations, safe operating procedures, maintenance and circle check inspections.

 

To receive a record of training, the worker must pass both a written exam and practical evaluation.  The theory component is 6.5 hours, and the practical evaluation ins approximately 3 hours. 

 

A valid driver's license is highly encouraged for participation in this training. 

Basics of Supervision

This course will assist forepersons and supervisors to become "Competent Persons" as defined by the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations. 

 

The main focus of this course is to increase the supervisory skills of planning, organizing, directing and controlling, as well as understanding the roles and responsibilities of the 4 main workplace parties as defined by the Act and Regulations. 

 

This course is 24 hours in duration. It can be delivered during business hours or evenings. It is delivered in person or on-line with an instructor.
